At long last, the moment you’ve all been asking about has arrived. Get your diaries ready, your hiking equipment all packed and make sure to bring plenty of bug spray because you’re about to set out on a slithery adventure! We’re hugely excited to announce that Snake Pass will be launching across all platforms on March 28th in the US and March 29th in Europe.
Just in case you missed our previous announcements, that means we’ll be launching on Nintendo Switch, Steam, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows 10! To top that list off, over the past few weeks we’ve also been looking at bundling in a few extra features, so expect PS4 Pro enhancement and Xbox Play Anywhere support right from launch. Exciting ssstuff!
So, what can players expect from Snake Pass at launch?
- A unique 3D physics based puzzle platform game
- 15 levels full of snake bending obstacles
- Four world themes each with unique features and hazards
- A brand new sound track composed by David Wise.
- Organic difficulty curve for players of all abilities
- Additional hidden features we’re yet to talk about
- A game that is sssuper good fun for everyone!
For ourselves on the Snake Pass team and at Sumo, we’re almost at journeys end. Needless to say, we’re not done yet! We’ve still got a few announcements up our sleeves and a precious few weeks left of initial bug fixing before the game is out of the gate and in your hands.
With that said, we’d like to take a moment to say a big THANK YOU to everyone for your interest and support over the past few months. From NeoGAF to Reddit, from all of the platform specific communities, to the general wider internet – we’ve been reading and taking in everything you guys have to say. You guys have really helped to inspire and keep us motivated through the final stretch of development. We really hope you enjoy Snake Pass as much as we’ve enjoyed making it.
Be sure to keep an eye out for our next set of updates coming very soon, but for now I’ll leave you with this great statistic…
41 days and counting… #Hype
